The Early Childhood Advisory Council of West Virginia held its first Legislative Reception on Tuesday, March 6th at the West Virginia Governor’s Mansion. The reception, hosted by the Council, Cabinet Secretary of Education and the Arts Kay Goodwin, and First Lady Joanne Tomblin, was well attended by members of the WV House of Delegates and WV State Senate as well as other state-level policymakers.
Helen Blank, Director of Public Policy for the National Women’s Law Center and former Director of Child Care and Development for the Children’s Defense Fund, served as the guest speaker. Click here to read her remarks.
